It is with great excitement and heartfelt sincerity that we reach out to you today. Your student has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the Bowie Choral Program — a dedication that has not gone unnoticed by either of us. That same spirit of excellence is exactly what inspires us to reach out to you now.
We believe that great programs are built by great communities. The Bowie Choral Department is fortunate to have talented, passionate students — and we know from experience that behind every exceptional young singer stands a family that believes in them. That is why Mr. Thomas and I personally selected a small, thoughtful group of parents whom we feel would be wonderful partners in supporting this program. You are among that group.
We are extending a warm and personal invitation for you to join the Bowie Choral Department Booster Club. This is a volunteer organization run entirely by parents like you, and its impact on our students is immeasurable. As a Booster Club member, you would help us:

Provide encouragement and a visible show of support that lets our students know their hard work matters

Raise funds to support student opportunities, travel, and program needs

Honor our seniors with meaningful recognitions and gifts that celebrate their journey

Plan and host our annual Friendsgiving Thanksgiving Dinner — a cherished tradition that brings the choir family together

Organize and celebrate our end-of-year Choir Banquet, a highlight of the choral calendar

Volunteer at concerts and prestigious auditions, including All-State Choir and 9/10 Honor Choir
The honest truth is this: our Booster Club is in need of fresh energy and new leadership. Without committed parent volunteers, some of these beloved traditions and vital support systems simply cannot continue at the level our students deserve. We are not asking for perfection or endless hours — we are asking for willing hearts and a desire to invest in something truly worthwhile.
Your involvement would make a real, tangible difference — not just for your own student, but for every young person in this program. Choir teaches resilience, teamwork, artistry, and confidence. When we as parents show up, we reinforce every lesson being taught on that stage.
